How To Succeed Online As An Affiliate For Under $100 – Part 4
Affiliate Success Tips — By Mr Success on June 10, 2009 at 7:14 amStep 3 – Offer a Resource Page
While your site should be tightly focused on a theme, you will want to also create a resource page.
-
It’s been proven many times that people who buy a product online will buy more of that product or buy a complimentary product.
- When that happens, you should get paid a commission!
The way to do that is to create a resource page, using the main product you are promoting as the centerpiece.
Sticking with our autoresponder example, here are a few items you could add to a resource page as well as a word about why they might work.
- Ad trackers – People who send messages via an autoresponder need to track how many people click any particular link in order to judge the effectiveness of their message.
- Copywriting services – People using an autoresponder will want their messages to be the most powerful messages possible. A copywriter can do that.
- Shopping cart software or services – Since your customers will be using their autoresponder to sell it makes sense that they might want an easy way to sell multiple items.
- Merchant Accounts
– If they are selling they will need to collect money. Many an online entrepreneur gets their autoresponder before they get a merchant account OR go along using PayPal for a while before getting a merchant account.
The goal of a resource page is to help your reader take the next step on their path to success.
The best way to brainstorm for items to include is to answer this question: Now that they have an autoresponder based on your excellent recommendation, what else will they need to succeed?
Creating your resource page can be quick and easy when you know a few tricks of the trade. You won’t even have to write!
The easiest way to create this page is to use search the Clickbank Marketplace for items that compliment the main product you are promoting. Since Clickbank is so categorized, doing this is fast and easy too.
Most sites will offer affiliates a solo ad. One unique twist is to use this solo ad as the selling copy on your resource page. This way you don’t have to write a word, just remove a few lines about “clicking here” and you are set!
Since other affiliates won’t have thought of this, your site will stand out from the crowd while you use well-written copy but avoid the trap of mailing the same ad as everyone else … another win-win.
The next step, I’m going to explain about “Step 4 – Offer Something Free To Every Visitor”.
